Two unique elements included preconstruction stabilization work to ensure the outer brick wall did not separate and fall into the street and the creation of 9 garage-door openings, which required bracing the 4-story building to ensure stability of upper levels…the most complicated of the project. The finished (40,000 square foot renovation) product speaks for itself. Jason was on site to provide input to the architect and contractor and to meet the demands of the owner leaving a positive imprint on a series of 100+ year-old buildings that are positioned to be contributing buildings for the next 100 years.”

Because of site constraints at its urban facility that made building expansion difficult, new heavy equipment had to be placed on the existing second floor of the busy manufacturing facility. Jason designed a cost-effective structural system that could be installed with minimal disruption and allowed for the new equipment to be installed on schedule. Keeping the disruption to the manufacturing process to a minimum was key in making the technology upgrade viable. By allowing us to utilize more of our existing facility and avoiding costly building expansion, Jason’s design provided an excellent return on our investment.”
